Hi Saskia,  I wanted to let you know that I just posted something about your school on Trip Advisor.  I think that you have a great thing going in Arequipa and I assume that many other people would love to do one of your activities if they knew about it.  http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g294313-i6198-k4283952-Spanish_language_school_and_alternative_tours-Arequipa.html  It was so much fun hanging out at your school and doing some of the activities. I went to Peru to travel for one month. My ‘travel-guru-friend’ Marjan, who travelled a lot in South-America, recommended me the language-school ‘Spanish Café Arequipa’ (I find it important to know personal experiences of people, because anything can be put on the internet, but need not be true…). Anyway, I sent an email to Saskia and already within a few hours I received information about the school, a place to stay and the best way to travel to Arequipa. So I booked the school for one week and a place to stay for two weeks (in fact I stayed at her home, which was very nice!). I had private lessons, four hours a day: two hours grammar from Marco and two hours conversation from Onno. Both the teachers were very good (and patient) and I learned a lot. The school is situated in a bungalow in the garden of Casa los Pingüínos, a nice and clean hostal in the centre of Arequipa. Saskia gave me a lot of information of the places to visit. She arranged among other things two wonderful excursions for me: a two-days trip to the Cañon del Colca and a three-days trip to Puno and Lago Titikaka, where I stayed one night at the house of the local people. My experience with Spanish Cafe Arequipa Casa de Los Pingüínos was absolutely super! My spanish is so much better I feel confident and good thanks to my professor Onno that worked with me for 2 months. I truly had a experience of a lifetime and so thankful I stayed with my boyfriend's family's home and got to take spanish lessons in Pingüínos. I knew about Spanish Arequipa from my boyfriend Cesar and his friend and Cesar told me about the school because Cesar knew Saskia. Saskia is a wonderful outgoing director for the school and I was so happy how all of this came together! I thought it was such a great idea to have grammar lessons with Onno and then Onno and I would walk into the city of Arequipa and talk in conversation and see different parts of Arequipa at the same time. I really enjoyed it, also Arequipa (cuidad blanca). Casa de Los Pingüínos is a friendly, cute little hotel for tourists very warm and cozy (acogedor: en espanol) :) I would highly recommend learning spanish in an immersed latino city, that city is Arequipa Peru at Casa de Los Pingüínos where you can have a super awesome staff of wonderful spanish teachers who are flexible and ready to work with you at your need!
